Nicholè McGill-Higgins MCC ~ Queen of the Hive™ is a woman who has lived many lives and chosen herself in every one of them. She is an international keynote speaker and a multi-award winner, with the most recent being the GlobalWIIN Empowerment of Women Award 2025. Founder of BEE-Longing™, creator of The Courage to BEE® and the Corporate BEE-Hive®, and the visionary behind The Velvet Empire™ by Lady Velvet™, Nicholè stands at the rare intersection of corporate leadership, feminine power, pleasure, and truth. A Master Coach, international best-selling author, grandmother and survivor, her story is one of resilience without polish and power without apology. Live Wabi Sabi features Nicholè because her life reminds women of all ages that broken is not the end, it’s often where the gold begins.

Her Wabi Sabi Life Story

One defining chapter of Nicholè’s life is surviving rape. The violation altered how she moved through the world, how she trusted, how safe she felt, and how she saw herself. After reporting the assault, she encountered a system that failed her, deepening her silence and self-blame. For years, she lived in denial, carrying shame that was never hers to begin with.

Telling her husband was one of the hardest moments of her life. He became her rock, even as he carried his own pain. Years later, sharing this truth with her children carried another weight. Sixteen years passed before Nicholè entered therapy. Healing, for her, was slow, confronting, and nonlinear. The aftershocks still live in her body, and she honours that reality without romanticising it.

Yet, she refused to disappear. She fought to reclaim her sensuality, her sexuality, and her aliveness. She fought to rise where shame demanded silence. Over time, pain transformed into purpose. Nicholè worked extensively with survivors, served on the board of Rape Crisis South London, and helped champion the legacy of a 24-hour helpline. Giving back became a golden seam in her healing.

Like kintsugi, her life bears visible cracks. The memories remain. But the woman she became because of them shines brighter. Broken did not mean finished. It meant rebuilt, with gold.

Her Thoughts on Self-Love

For Nicholè, self-love is not performative or idealised, it is daily, grounded, and brave. It is choosing herself every day. Speaking truth even when it’s uncomfortable. Holding boundaries her younger self never knew were possible. It is honouring her pleasure, voice, and power, even when doubt resurfaces.

Self-love also lives in legacy. As a grandmother, she knows she is being watched. She chooses to model a woman who does not shrink, apologise for her truth, or hand her identity to the world. Real self-love, for Nicholè, is living as the woman she once needed.

Her Proudest Moment

Nicholè holds pride in many achievements, building two powerful brands, carving space in worlds where she was once invisible, and creating impact across corporate leadership and feminine embodiment.

Professionally, being honoured with the GlobalWIIN Empowerment of Women Award was deeply affirming. The award category was created because of her work, recognising her leadership across two spaces rarely acknowledged together: the sex industry and corporate leadership. It was vindication and validation, earned without compromise.

Personally, her greatest pride is her family, her husband, her children, and her four grandchildren. They are her joy, grounding, and living reminder of why legacy matters.

Being Part of Wabi Sabi Stories

For Nicholè, Wabi Sabi Stories represents truth over polish and depth over performance. It is a space where the real woman is welcomed, not a curated version. A place of belonging earned through courage, where every part of a woman’s story matters.

She honours the women who have shared their journeys here, those who have lived through the unspoken and still risen. This platform mirrors the very foundation of her work: when women speak without apology, stories become legacy, and the world shifts.

Her Biggest Cheerleader

Nicholè’s strongest support system revolves around her husband, two sons, and four grandchildren, who are her entire world, along with her sister and sister-in-law, her foundation of love, laughter, and grounding. Alongside them is a close, trusted circle of friends who meet her in honesty and truth.

Beyond the support system, her work has brought her into connection with extraordinary men and women who support her in profound ways, sometimes through a single conversation that reminds her how held she truly is. She carries deep gratitude for her clients, colleagues, and the women and men rising with integrity and emotional depth alongside her.

Her Message to Other Women

Life does not ask for perfection, it asks for truth. Every chapter survived, every moment of rebuilding, becomes part of your power. You don’t need to hide the messy parts or wait to be ready. Courage is choosing yourself without permission.

Your story is not a straight line. The parts that took the longest to understand often carry the most beauty. Stop apologising. Stop shrinking. Your imperfect story is not something to fix, it is something to lead with. Life changes not when it becomes perfect, but when you become real.

I Don't Chase.

I Chose.

Power is Personal, and I make it Mine. ~ Nicholè McGill-Higgins MCC ~ Queen of the Hive™
