Born in Kolkata, shaped by global exposure, and rooted in Mumbai for over two decades, Mahasweta Ghosh is a living embodiment of resilience and reinvention. An accomplished actor, classical vocalist, Odissi dancer, certified chef, entrepreneur, and Mrs India Pride of Nation 2025 (2nd Runner-Up) and recipient of the Beautiful Smile title, her story is one of courage, creativity, and conscious rebuilding. Live Wabi Sabi Stories features Mahasweta because her journey gently yet powerfully reminds women of all ages that imperfections are not obstacles, they are gateways to deeper purpose and renewed beginnings.
Her Wabi Sabi Life Story
Mahasweta Ghosh’s life unfolds at the intersection of art, discipline, and inner strength. Trained in classical music under Padma Vibhushan Smt. Girija Devi, nurtured in Odissi dance by her mother, a celebrated Odissi exponent, and academically grounded in fashion designing, her creative foundation is both rich and rooted. She has acted in films and renowned television serials, earned recognition in Europe as a classical vocalist, and was honoured to perform for the Ministry of Women Empowerment and Social Justice at the Mahakumbh 2025.
Behind these accomplishments lies a deeply personal journey of survival. Early in life, Mahasweta was diagnosed with adenomyosis and has lived with beta thalassemia minor, enduring chronic anemia and regular blood transfusions. Incorrect gynecological treatment and improper hormonal dosages led to severe complications, triggering autoimmune conditions and multiple organ damage. A life-threatening surgery followed, with recovery so critical that she was readmitted to the ICU, where survival felt uncertain.

Facing a body she no longer recognised and a spirit weighed down by depression, Mahasweta made a conscious decision to fight back. Through psychiatric counselling, therapeutic support, spiritual chanting, and disciplined pranayama, she slowly rebuilt her inner world. What emerged was clarity, resilience, and a renewed belief in herself.
That rebirth led her to culinary arts. Mahasweta pursued a professional chef degree and founded Mahasweta’s Multicuisine, a cloud kitchen rooted in mindful digestion, health-centric recipes, and soulful nourishment. Food became not just a profession, but a form of healing.
Alongside her professional journey, Mahasweta remains deeply committed to social impact through her NGO Kalajyoti, dedicated to supporting uncared animals and uplifting underprivileged women and children.
Like kintsugi, where broken pottery is mended with gold, Mahasweta Ghosh’s life is a testament to the beauty of healing through awareness, intention, and courage.
Her Thoughts on Self-Love
For Mahasweta Ghosh, self-love is not loud or performative, it is grounded and real. It is choosing peace over proving a point. It is protecting her energy, honouring boundaries, and continuing to show up for herself even on difficult days. Some days, self-love simply means not giving up, and that quiet commitment has become her greatest strength.

Her Proudest Moment
Being selected as a finalist among thousands of women across India, and being crowned Mrs India Pride of Nation 2025 (2nd Runner-Up), stands as one of Mahasweta Ghosh’s proudest milestones. It symbolises not just achievement, but triumph over adversity, self-doubt, and survival itself.
Being Part of Wabi Sabi Stories
To Mahasweta Ghosh, Wabi Sabi Stories represents a sacred space where imperfection is not something to fix, but something to honour.
Not perfect.
Not pretending.
Just present.
Her Biggest Cheerleader
Mahasweta Ghosh draws her deepest strength from her mother, the strongest woman she has ever known, who instilled in her unwavering values, discipline, and integrity. Equally vital is her husband, who stood by her through every rise and fall, becoming her constant pillar of strength and belief.

Her Message to Other Women
You do not need to be flawless to be worthy. Growth is not linear, and healing has no timeline. Every scar holds meaning, every pause has purpose, and every small step forward matters. Celebrate becoming, not perfection. In honouring your true self, you give others permission to do the same.
“I don’t shine despite my broken moments, I shine because of them.” ~ Mahasweta Ghosh
