Dr. Sally Good: Guiding entrepreneurs to turn broken moments into gold with courage and clarity

Dr. Sally Good

Dr. Sally Good is a powerhouse of wisdom and resilience, a psychologist, business owner, author, podcaster, and marketing strategist who has spent her life helping people remove the roadblocks between their big ideas and the success they deserve. Known as The Big Idea Sherpa, she has guided entrepreneurs in scaling from zero to seven figures with strategy, mentorship, and unwavering belief in possibility. Her story is a testament to the beauty in imperfection, the strength in vulnerability, and the transformation that happens when we choose to rise again, making her a truly inspiring voice for women, dreamers, and believers of all ages.

Her Wabi Sabi Life Story

Dr. Good’s journey is woven with courage and extraordinary perseverance. She has walked through pain, both physical and emotional and emerged brighter every time. In 2016, she survived a traumatic accident when her horse knocked her down in an isolated pasture, leaving her with a broken hip and no ability to move or call for help. In that moment of surrender, she laughed with God and asked Him to take over, and He did.

A decade earlier, in 2006, her left leg collapsed unexpectedly, leading to months in a wheelchair and a diagnosis of multiple sclerosis. Determined to reclaim her life, she pushed through daily injections, physical limitations, and years of disciplined healing. Through grit, yoga, caring for her animals, and deep inner strength, she regained her mobility and rebuilt her life, eventually being told there were no lesions at all. Today, nearly 20 years later, she lives without signs of MS, believing that not only her body but her spirit was healed through resilience, faith, and fierce self-belief.

Her Thoughts on Self-Love

For Dr. Good, self-love isn’t poetic, it’s practical. It’s scheduling dermatology appointments, repairing a broken tooth, undergoing spinal surgery, restoring her vision with cataract treatment, and prioritizing health screenings. It’s tending to her spiritual life, doing clinical work with elders, sharing time with friends and community, and being supported daily by her six rescue dogs, companions who protect, listen, and love unconditionally.

Her Proudest Moment

One of her most treasured memories was helping a pygmy goat mother deliver her first baby on a cold, rainy night at 3 AM. Without her intervention, both mother and baby could have died, but instead, she watched the newborn stand and search for life. A moment of pure pride, purpose, and awe.

Her Message to Other Women

Life is a big experiment, there is only feedback, not failure. Give yourself grace. Don’t judge who you were then with the knowledge you have now. Start with self-empathy, and extend compassion freely.
